Who We Are

The Midwives Association of Zambia (MAZ) is the professional organisation representing all categories of midwives in Zambia.Our mission of MAZ is to promote the provision of quality and evidence-based midwifery practices at community level for women, neonates, children and men at all levels of health care.

Lobby and advocate for both locally and internationally recognized midwifery practices and policies with policy maker traditional leaders and communities.

Mobilize resources for execution of midwifery programs and projects

Continuously monitor provision of midwifery services through research, development and documentation of best practices
